Fantastic experience and product. Quality of the lamp is great. The matte finish on the metal & milk-white glass are both good; there were no scratches. The base is weighted & sturdy. Very easy to put together (one person can assemble it in 10 minutes or less) and packaging was properly done too. I used a LED 8.5W bulb (soft white) and the lamp illuminates the area with a soft glow. Be sure to check the measurements of the glass part of the lamp to ensure it will work for your space/design. The lamp is really nice, but unfortunately not quite the level of finish I was hoping for. The wood legs have sharp square edges, not the typical rounded smooth edges of mid-century modern lamps like this. Also, the shade sits a bit too high on the lamp, so if you're sitting on a couch or chair, you can see the mounting plate and hardware that the bulb attaches to. This floor lamp is a show stopper. It provides intimate lighting to a very specified area, the gold gives the light an ambient warmth. The base is a solid heavy stone, you don’t have to worry about the lamp tipping over whatsoever. I would have to say, putting it together, I recommend 2 persons. The arm is a bit awkward when attempting to align each portion making it difficult to manage solo, don’t do like I did. Lastly, the dimmer doesn’t exactly dim, at all. I made sure to buy dimmable light bulbs and made sure to try it on other lamps that did dim. Not sure if mine is a defect, one that I’m fine with because the light it gives off is so incredibly soft that dimming the light seems unnecessary. However, it is marketed as a dimming floor lamp.. Love the gold tone on this, not too bright. The base is very heavy and the shade has a panel on the bottom so you don’t get blinded if you happen to look up at it from underneath. I really looked forward to this lamp. It's not bad overall. Heavy & sturdy base, assembling is easy. It actually comes with the tool you need, we just didn't see it at the beginning as it's packed separately. The lamp comes with two types of light bulbs. The pretty one (as on the website pic) is really dim. Wanted to use it in the living room but I think it will not be bright enough (even with the brighter lightbulb). Also it's a bit short. It's kinda my fault that I just took the website pic as a reference, didn't really pay attention to how tall it is. So again, will probably just use it in the bedroom. The one thing that really bothers me is that there is a really obvious scratch mark on the glass shade. It's annoying as it's at the center front. My OCD is kinda killing me... but we are too tired to repack everything back for a return. Nice light! Matte white finish and the shade has wavy texture to it. Throws light up (brightens our space) and down (reading). Was worried bc its on the short side for a flor lamp, but looks fine with our high ceilings. You screw the base together and not every joint lines up perfectly, but for the price, it’s something i easily overlook.
