The lamp is a beautiful design. The second lamp we received was well constructed. The first was not. It was defective in that the upper half of the stem/pole could not be extended to give the lamp its full height. All Modern customer service tried to be responsive to this defect but twice sent the wrong replacement part. The third time was the charm as customer service sent an entire new lamp. After a month in our house, it is functioning well at its full height. While the repair/replacement/return process was not fun, All Modern was responsive and made the return of the first lamp fairly easy — we just needed to rebox the lamp and take it to the delivery company.. Beautiful lamp, bigger than expected but fits my space fine. Quality is pretty good, though the switch is off a bit and the dimmer is note great with the LED bulb (flickers on low). Also, assembly takes two people and the directions are so-so. We did receive the product far later than advertised and the color was black not a mixture of brass and black, like on the site. Looks just as expected. The light is very one directional. So excellent for reading, but not good for overall room light. They did not send a Allen wrench that is necessary to tighten the brass cover for the switch.
