The lamp is really nice, but unfortunately not quite the level of finish I was hoping for. The wood legs have sharp square edges, not the typical rounded smooth edges of mid-century modern lamps like this. Also, the shade sits a bit too high on the lamp, so if you're sitting on a couch or chair, you can see the mounting plate and hardware that the bulb attaches to. I had a little bit of trouble getting the shade even when I assembled it but with a little bit of effort I was able to bend the bracket just enough to even it out. I placed this lamp next to a sofa table I use for eating and computer work. I only wish it were just a few inches shorter, as the LEDs will be visible for shorter people.
