Excellent quality- I put it together myself and it went fine. The hardest part was lifting the extremely heavy boxes up the stairs by myself! The headboard weighs a lot but the other parts of the bed I was able to bring up individually to make it easier. Assembly took a half hour or so, bed is very sturdy and most importantly, no squeaking! I went back and forth between getting white boucle or the brown but I like the brown. Material and colour of the bedframe were fantastic. Love the wingback detail for a cozy feel. The bed arrived a bit ahead of schedule but well worth the wait (4 weeks). The spacing between where the boxspring rests and where the bottom of the headboard begins is about 20". Keep this in mind for overall use and nightstands as it leaves the overall height of the bed quite high off the floor. We didn't want there to be a gap at the back even though it could be hidden with pillows. It would allow things to slide back or fall behind the bed. (Something to consider if you are purchasing a thinner than normal mattress such as Casper or other boxed mattress companies). The back of the headboard is also not sealed with fabric...it is exposed to attached the headboard to the frame and the wings. It is up against a wall so it doesn't matter but if you are looking to float the bed in a room where the back would be seen I would not recommend this bed. (NOTE: There were 5 instruction manuals included in the delivery. They were similar and yet all somewhat different. Despite the steps...if you purchase this bed attached the wings to the headboard first. Make your frame and attach the siding. Than bring the two portions together for assembly. This is a very well made, stylish bed that really suits my space and decor. The reason that I can't give it 5 stars? The website lists the overall height as 32". This caused me a lot of conflict over purchasing it, because that meant that the headboard was much lower than I really wanted. But this was the best bed for my needs, so I went ahead and ordered it reluctantly. So imagine my surprise when, after the bed was assembled, I measured and found out the headboard was really 40" high! No part of this bed is 32" high, and I'm pleased as can be, but I delayed the purchase a few weeks because of the listed height of 32". I even contacted Union Rustic and asked if the headboard was truly 32" and non-adjustable, and they confirmed that wrong information. This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an off white platform wingback bed that wouldn’t cover too much of my windows, which is hard to come by. The bed feels very sturdy, it doesn’t creak or make any noises when you get in it. Bonus: so far it’s cat friendly, my cats have tried scratching it and you can’t tell at all (I got the polyester fabric). It probably took us about two hours to build it.
