Amazing and beautiful bed. Quality and the wood is amazing. It is well constructed. As far as I know this product is identical to Modloft Worth Bed, but comes at a more affordable price point on AllModern. Set up was not difficult at all, but people love to complain about it. If you don't have experience with fasteners, tools and following assembly instructions, then you should probably hire someone else to do it for you instead of attempting it, failing, then claiming it's "too complicated.". We purchased the Cal King and a beautiful and solid wood piece that was easy to put together. We added a 9” box spring and have a 10” purple mattress on top; this gave a good height and I would recommend no lower then 18-20” because then you would see the non decorative slat on the headboard. The only issue, and this was in a previous review is that with the Cal King there is a few inches extra length. You don’t notice when the bed is made up but in order to keep your pillows from sliding off the bed we pushed the decorative pillows down between the mattress and headboard. I liked the piece enough to make the concession and maybe in the future we would build a 2x2 frame and add fabric to make an end piece to fit in here. If you push the mattress and box spring up to the head of the bed then you get the extra inches at the foot which is very obvious. Structurally, the bed is excellent (5 stars). It has quality substantial parts which fit together well. Once assembled it is heavy, but that adds to the secure feeling once the box springs, mattress and bedding are on it. It is a lovely light grey velvet, and the perfect size and look for our room. However, NO WAY can you put it together in 2 hours. Took my husband 4+ hours, and he has worked on mechanical things for ~50 years. Plus he used some if his specialized tools.
