Absolutely gorgeous table! I love the matte finish that allows the beauty of the wood grain, knots, and other natural characteristics of the wood to shine. The legs are substantial and look sleek without distracting from the beauty of the tabletop. Delivery was wonderful (thank you, Lathrop team!) and assembly was quick. The only reason for the docked star is that my tabletop arrived with a crack that begins on the edge and extends to the underside of the solid wood top. Table looks lovely. Amount of time it took to be delivered based on statements when purchased was an issue. Site said 1-2 weeks, took 3+ months. But overall really like the table so far - modern, clean style without being too of the moment to go out of style soon. Company needs to do a much better job estimating delivery dates. I would hesitate before ordering from them again for this reason. The bottom was metal and the top was a thin MDF wood. I went for this one because I wanted a sturdier top and it certainly delivers!!! What came in today was perfect and worth the splurge as this is usually outside of my price range. Shipped in 2 big boxes. Installation took 2 minutes lol. I like how different this table is aesthetically and although it looks modern you can change the style based on what chairs and decor you do. The table looks very white online but there is a warmer hue to it. I paid for the assembly which was definitely worth it because this table is very heavy. The guys that delivered it scratched it a bit because it was heavy but luckily it was under the table. I am more careful with what I place on it but when it gets a lot of scratches I think I can always paint over it. Also, 8 would be a tight fit. I think this is more of a 6 person table.
