I would hesitate before ordering from them again for this reason. The bottom was metal and the top was a thin MDF wood. I went for this one because I wanted a sturdier top and it certainly delivers!!! What came in today was perfect and worth the splurge as this is usually outside of my price range. Shipped in 2 big boxes. Installation took 2 minutes lol. This table is gorgeous. I wanted a solid wood table top, not a veneer. It looks black in the photos, but in real life it's very dark with brown undertones in the stain. The effect is gorgeous, but definitely not black up close. I did have an issue with the hardware during assembly: needed to go out and purchase longer screws (4) and additional washers (12). This is the only time I've ever had an issue assembling an AllModern piece. Luckily it was only a $7 trip to the hardware store to fix so I didn't need to get Customer Service involved, but the assembly/hardware for this product needs to be reviewed.
