This is a very beautiful table in person, but the listing misrepresents what it looks like in real life. The color of the oak is much warmer in person, and has more knots in it, which is not ideal. This table is so beautiful! I am incredibly happy with it, despite a few complaints. Pros: Incredibly heavy duty, beautiful oak, and very solidly made. It easily seats 8-10 people. Cons: On the legs there are metal plates attached to the top of each leg, that then get attached to the underside of the table. On one leg, the holes were drilled much too large for the plate to stay attached. I ended up filling the holes with epoxy to permanently attach the plate to the leg. Also, the surface of the table has several areas where the oak is sanded smooth, but leaving a splintery finish. This leaves some gaps in the otherwise smooth surface, which trap food. The overall dimensions of the table are well-thought-out and should work well for seating 6 people comfortably. We purchased the shorter version of this table, so if you're thinking about fitting 8 people at the table, you should definitely consider the longer version. Also, we paid for the delivery team to unpack and assemble the legs for the table, so, unfortunately, I cannot comment on the assembly instructions.
