This is a well built dresser. Beautiful grain and stain color, and even better yet- it came fully assembled! However, I have never ran to buy replacement hardware faster. The original hardware it came with was weird little pegs which are hard to grip! The drawers are soft close, but because of that there’s some resistance when pulling, and our hands would slip easily with the original hardware. The Nova Domus Santa Monica dresser comes from our new Santa Monica bedroom collection! This horizontal dresser features six large drawers with a soft/self-closing mechanism and a simple black metal handle. The Santa Monica is made from solid oak wood with a white oak veneer finish all over. Zero build required. I had a drawer get knocked out of the track during shipping but it was an easy fix. No damage. I didn’t want to mess it up further so I contacted supported and they helped me troubleshoot the issue. If I couldn’t fix it, they would have sent someone out to help/replace. What is missing makes the mojo in this new wood case a good collection. A round cut out in the drawer and door front acts as the pull, the elimination of material creating the function and visual appeal. Designed in a slew of shapes to see to storage needs in the bedroom, living room, and dining room.

I love the style and that the only required assembly was to attach the legs. Unfortunately, I’m not sure this was worth the price. It’s definitely solid wood- it’s VERY heavy. It took three people to move it to the desired spot inside and that was without the drawers! (the drawers are easy to take out and add back in, there was be a paper pamphlet included in the box that explained how to do this). My biggest issues with this dresser are - Two of the drawers have small defects on their fronts and the back of the drawers are full of splinters (they’re not fully finished sanded down on the back edges). - One of the drawers is a bit crooked. It functions fine, but has an noticeable uneven gap in the spacing above it. I think this is due to one of the drawer tracks being installed slightly higher than the other. - Installing the legs should have been straightforward, but two of them didn’t line up. I figured out eventually that the brown plastic tack was added in the wrong spot and blocked the legs from being added in the correct spot. I was able to solve this by using a pair of pliers and pulling the brown plugs out (they’re basically giant push pins) and hammering them back in a few centimeters over.. Emily. Austin, TX.
