Definitely NOT “acorn” colored. This is a dark cherry or mahogany red stained piece of furniture. I am extremely disappointed in how it looked in the photos and how NOT light brown it is. I think the manufacturer either sent me the wrong color or they significantly changed the stain without communicating it to All Modern. That being said, it is great quality, solid, and easy to put together. I won’t be returning because of the cost of the rerun since there was no damage due to shipping. Customer service was able to give me a credit, thankfully, but so far I’m getting a good impression as a first time customer.. Anonymous. US. Tue Feb 21 2023

First desk had bars that weren’t welded correctly, but great customer service because All Modern sent me an entirely new desk. Giving 4 stars for the fact that this item has to be bolted to the wall. And nowhere in the description online does it say that… makes it sound like it just leans and will be stable, but it doesn’t. So I had to hire a handyman to secure it to the wall.. Stacey. Los Angeles, CA. Tue Mar 22 2022

Update your home office with this charming and contemporary style 2 drawer writing desk. The two sleek front drawers offer a clean minimalist look that fits seamlessly into your home office decor

The Redford desk looks great and almost an exact match to the pictures. The quality is very good, it is very heavy and well constructed, and fit and finish appears to be great. The drawers are good but are not full depth (they are 13 inches deep verses the desk depth of 28 inches). The drawers glide easily but it takes a fairly hard push to close them the last 1/4 inch or so.. John. Hopkinton, MA. Sat May 03 2025

Solid and what I’d hoped for. A couple small bits to pick: it came in three different packages over three different days; instructions and hardware don’t really match, and finally three legs and the associated. Outs worked fine but the bolts and holes on the 4th leg were misaligned and only three bolts fit.. Matthew. Austin, TX. Wed Jul 22 2026
