We love this lamp. It was immediately apparent that it was of a much higher quality than similar, cheaper lamps, and very much worth the price. Attaching the post to the base was a challenge. The included wrench was nice, but awkward given the limited angle afforded by the base. I had a very hard time getting the post tight and perpendicular to the base. Very high quality lamp, solid metal, and it arrived properly wrapped with the metal finish protected. I will say it’s a bit tricky to put together as the long arms are a bit awkward to maneuver. Read the assembly instructions as there is a certain sequence you have to follow. Took about an hour to assemble and align the curved arms. As stated in previous reviews, the lampshade does appear to be white and brighter in these photos, but it is more oatmeal and has off-white flecks in the linen lampshade material. But knowing that, I was interested, and it did not disappoint. One thing to note: the seam on the lampshade is pretty noticeable when the light is on, so if you don't have a wall that "hides" the seam, it could be distracting and annoying to some.
