Word to the wise - the ridge pattern on the clear glass is really annoying in person! The ridges in the glass make it so that the light is broken up in to very bright shards that hurt our eyes. Using a dimmer bulb than the one provided helped, but what ultimately made the difference was spraying a product on the glass to make it frosted and not clear. I would have returned it, but my husband had thrown away the box already.
