Meda works and lives in Milan.Alberto Meda and Paolo Rozzatto have designed a clever floor lamp that will not take up much room and still light up any area perfectly. This floor lamp from the Berenice Collection is easy to move into any position due to the stiffened nylon friction joints in the arm of the fixture and the rynite head that can be rotated 360 degrees. The reflector will provide a light that is soft on the eyes but bright enough to keep your attention.

Great lamp, but worth the price

I'm on the fence on this lamp. I needed a lamp that has a small base and is adjustable. This one has both, looks great and provides the light I need.

Love everything about the lamp except it's assembly. Putting the glass reflector into place, without breaking it, was a challenge, even for my ultra handyman husband. We resorted to heating the perimeter of the plastic holder for expansion and pliability.
Top of the line

This is the only reading lamp that I will ever buy. It is perfect. We own all versions--floor, desk, wall-mounted.
Love this lamp - bought 3

This floor lamp is fantastic. I have one by bed and I am able to totally adjust it without the base wiggling around. I have tested countless others that were not sturdy or so large they took over the area. This is small and fits in anywhere. I love it. I bought three and plan to purchase one or two more.

I bought my first Berenice lamp about 10 years ago for my computer desk and have since purchased several more. They provide excellent focused lighting for any task and I've never replaced the first bulb. I now use the floor model and the desk/table model for various applications. They are very easy to position and adjust. The only maintenance needed it to occasionally tighten the "elbow" joints which can be done with a coin (I use a dime). A great looking lamp, and beautifully engineered.

In 1978 Paolo Rizzato, Riccardo Sarfatti and Sandra Severi, who had been together at the Politecnico University in Milan, founded Luceplan, concentrating initially on the design and making of prestige interior lighting. Luceplan specialized in projects for particularly challenging and high quality situations and locations, including numerous historic buildings.
Luceplan continued to forge ahead by insisting on a clear idea of a business in which design is not "styling", that is to say not "added design", but rather the outcome of a continuous and coordinated exchange of different company functions. In the projects which Luceplan puts into production, there is a constant search for artistic simplicity as the solution to complexity.
Luceplan lighting immediately conveys a sense that they are the product of inspired, incessant research. Impervious to the dictates of fashion, these artistic strokes nevertheless reflect contemporary trends and elements. Luceplan is dedicated to promoting experimentation, innovation and technology, improved performance standards, inventiveness and beauty.
