Metis Italy Marinella Patetta was born in 1960 in Milan. Claudio Valent was born in 1957. He obtained his degree in 1982 from the" Politecnico" University of Milan and in 1984 she attended to a Master for Lighting Engineering and Design. Work history: 1985-1989 Lighting Designer at the Piero Castiglioni Architectural Studio in Milan; 1989-1990 Industrial Designer and Supervisor for the Regulations at the company ILMO-Illuminazione; 1989 Co-founder of the company Metis Lighting; 1996-1997 Proferssor for the course "Corso di progettazione illuminotecnica" at the "Superior Institul of Architecture and Design" of Milan; 1996-2003 Professor in charge for the course "Corso di progettazione illuminotecnica" at the Faculty of Industrial Design of Milan. Architects Marinella Patetta and Claudio Valent, in 1989, after they attended the Master of Lighting Design and the many working experiences where they cooperate in important light technique designing projects, such as the Gare d'Orsay in Paris and the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, founded the company Metis Lighting srl.
