Once my husband put it together, I thought it was okay. It had a few scratches already on it, I'm assuming from shipping and some of the paint was bubbled up on the wood. But then, when I went to purchase the storage cubes to put inside, I realized that all the cubes were 11in x 10.5in. But the cubby holes were 10.5in x 11in. I couldn't find those size cubes anywhere! Then, we realized that we had to turn the cubby in order to make the cubes fit. But the problem is that the base (which we know is on correctly because of the predrilled holes) once we turned it, is now on it's side and looks ridiculous! There is no way to put it together any other way because of the predrilled holes and the extra long pieces to form the base. So the whole thing is literally backwards, cheaply made and you can find much better products out there from Target or Home Depot. Plus, no scratches from shipping.

After seeing many other similar ones made of pressboard, we opted for this one. It was higher priced than can be found elsewhere and the instructions were horrible, but it is made of good quality material. There were some marks and imperfections on the boards so overall we weren't terribly impressed but like it enough to not send it back.
No problems putting it together

Everything went great. Good quality, no problems putting the cubby together. It had a few little marks on it, but it is ok.

I first bought a similar 3x3 storage unit from Target from their home collection. It was horribly flimsy and needed to be anchored to the wall to avoid falling over. Needless to say I returned it. The Badger Basket storage is very sturdy, I'm not concerned about it falling over if baby yanks on it. I bought a bunch of JJ Cole storage bins for it but they were too big. I ended up with the Koala Baby brand ones from BabiesRus which aren't as nice looking, but at least they fit in the cubbies- although they are very snug. My only complaint is that the instructions for assembly are about as clear as mud! They say things like " connect A to E, which seems easy enough but none of the pieces are marked with their identifying letters! Thankfully I have a knack for assembly it took me about 30 minutes or so to put together. Also, if you are planning on using it in a nursery/baby's room make sure you get it early so it can off-gas. It smells really strongly like paint, stunk up the room for about a week or two.

Unit worked great in my child's room with the addition of the folding storage bins I purchased. It was easy to assemble even though the directions were a little difficult to follow. Sturdy once built.

this is smaller than it gives notice. Difficult to assemble.
Difficult to assemble and wobbly

In comparison to the child's desk we purchased at the same time, this 3x3 storage unit was a piece of junk. We probably paid more for it by ordering it from Wayfair, but we were hoping for a much better quality. After my husband and child spent a couple of hours assembling it, we read on the instructions something about "not returning unit to [...]." Yikes, if they sell it at [...], I would have known not to expect upscale...and I wouldn't have spent the extra money purchasing it from a "boutique-type" store. Really felt we got "taken" by this purchase. We'll certainly be more careful in the future.
