Theses are gorgeous fixtures, we have 2 over half of a 10’ length of island, (the other half has a skylight over it). They provide more than enough light, spaced about 18” apart and suspended about 30” above a 36” high countertop. We have 100 watt equivalent LED lamps inside. The fixtures have a cap that is on the top, essentially covering about 20% of the globe, but the overall effect is a nice glow on the walls and ceiling, exactly what we were hoping for. Its a nice lamp. It was easy to assemble. Came with plenty of cord. I bought a 100w equivalent LED Edison style bulb which looks very nice and retro. Biggest complaint was the cord catch that reduces strain on the wiring was made of plastic. It shredded when trying to unscrew it. I had to swag the lamp over so it doesnt quite matter in my situation. It is a design flaw that the manufacturer could fix by replacing that teeny-tiny part with metal.. Chris. Washington.
