This is actually a really nice desk. It took me a long time to decide to get it because the only review was bad and it is expensive, but when it went on sale I pulled the trigger because it fit what I needed exactly. It’s actually very well made, heavy and sturdy. The wood is beautiful and it is exactly the color I was expecting. It was fairly simple to put together, took my boyfriend and I about 45 minutes. The drawers are shallow, I don’t see being able to put much in them. Also the directions were wrong, they had one diagram backwards. We easily figured this out with a little common sense and corrected the leg positions. - Delivery: arrived as scheduled. The package did have some dents on the outside. - Damage (see pics): small 4x2mm dent to the surface of the table without clear corresponding dent on the exterior, suggesting it occurred during manufacturing rather than delivery. Also some flaked bit of wood at points of joinery. - Parts: Missing an M6 x45mm bolt and had an extra M6x30mm bolt for some reason. - Assembly: Instructions are clear if you just look closely at where drill holes are/things are oriented. Assembly is also straightforward - Overall: For the price, a pretty decent writing desk. Drawers work well, table feels sturdy minus the missing bolt. Definitely NOT “acorn” colored. This is a dark cherry or mahogany red stained piece of furniture. I am extremely disappointed in how it looked in the photos and how NOT light brown it is. I think the manufacturer either sent me the wrong color or they significantly changed the stain without communicating it to All Modern. That being said, it is great quality, solid, and easy to put together. I won’t be returning because of the cost of the rerun since there was no damage due to shipping.
