This is actually a really nice desk. It took me a long time to decide to get it because the only review was bad and it is expensive, but when it went on sale I pulled the trigger because it fit what I needed exactly. It’s actually very well made, heavy and sturdy. The wood is beautiful and it is exactly the color I was expecting. It was fairly simple to put together, took my boyfriend and I about 45 minutes. The drawers are shallow, I don’t see being able to put much in them. Also the directions were wrong, they had one diagram backwards. We easily figured this out with a little common sense and corrected the leg positions. - Delivery: arrived as scheduled. The package did have some dents on the outside. - Damage (see pics): small 4x2mm dent to the surface of the table without clear corresponding dent on the exterior, suggesting it occurred during manufacturing rather than delivery. Also some flaked bit of wood at points of joinery. - Parts: Missing an M6 x45mm bolt and had an extra M6x30mm bolt for some reason. - Assembly: Instructions are clear if you just look closely at where drill holes are/things are oriented. Assembly is also straightforward - Overall: For the price, a pretty decent writing desk. Drawers work well, table feels sturdy minus the missing bolt. Desk looks absolutely beautiful. Solid and sturdy. Putting it together wasn’t to hard . However some of the hardware and pre drilled holes where not aligning which was a pain in the you know what. Mounting it to the wall was a disaster! The hardware included to mount didn’t work. After drilling many holes in the wall and scratching the paint because it kept sliding, eventually we had to use our own hardware to mount. My advice, don’t use the hardware they provided for mounting. Use your own. One last tip: do not tighten the bolts of the shelves too hard, because the wood will end up cracking.. dana.
