The center piece folds in on itself and stores itself under the rest of the table. So we can have a 4-6 person oval table or pop up the center piece and easily seat 6-9 people (depending on size of person and chair). The table is very well made. Highly recommend this table.. This is a great outdoor dining set. It was easy to assemble. I really like that all of the chairs have arms, unlike some sets which only 2 of the chairs have arms. This allows us to pull 2 of them to the side and make a separate sitting area. You can use all 6 at the table but we prefer it less crowded. The set is very solid and no longer worry about my chairs blowing away on a windy day. We were concerned about how hot the black would get but it has not been an issue. We do have it in a partially covered pergola.. Crystal. Kent, OH. Sun Jul 30 2023
