Our kitchen is still a work in progress but swapping the old florescent fixture for this one has made a huge difference. Easy to install and gives off a lot of light for being such a petite fixture! My only complaint is that that base of the bulb is exposed because the threading in the fixture doesn't go very deep. So I can see the writing on the base of the light bulb. Hardly noticeable. I was looking for a light fixture to modernize my kitchen while being minimalist since I don't have super high ceilings and it can start to look busy fast. This fit the bill. I love the matte black color and that I can adjust the warmth of the lighting through an app. It's BIG but sits flush to the ceiling. Where it lacks is the actual light it gives off. It definitely wouldn't be enough to be your main light fixture. We actually don't turn it on much since we still would need our can lights on. It gets used the most on movie nights when we turn on the "night light" functionality to set the mood since our kitchen is next to the tv room (if you turn the light switch off then on again quickly it goes into night light mode)..
