I’m so thrilled with just how beautiful this lamp is. The glow of the light is beautifully diffused by the tightly rippled accordion shade. Love the gold tone on this, not too bright. The base is very heavy and the shade has a panel on the bottom so you don’t get blinded if you happen to look up at it from underneath. The joints between the pieces of metal on the arc are very understated, which is a great improvement to other models. And gives great light! Very happy with this purchase.. Erin. It's delightful, really solved that dark corner. I have the black exterior / gold interior. The gold warms up the light temperature, so the 2700K bulb has the appearance of about 2200K amber, choose your bulb temperature accordingly. They are GU10 LED bulbs as stated in other reviews. I didn't use the smart bulb as others did. Not quite a snap to put together (lining up the base takes patience). Overall, a great lamp. Sleek, modern design that take up very little real estate - can be placed anywhere. Lamp shades look and feel a bit flimsy but overall a sturdy construction. The foot switch is pretty far from the base (can be good and bad) - if you need the switch closer to lamp, you would have to somehow hide a pile of cord (I just winded it up around the lamp base. Would be nice if it had space to tuck in extra cord). Fyi, each shade comes with a plastic cover. I almost threw them out thinking they were shipping covers.
