The Overton 1 wall sconce by AllModern features a classic gooseneck design with a black finish and black drum shaped fabric shade. The two in one design of this wall sconce allows you to install it as a plug in so you can move it easily or hardwire in place for a long lasting look.

This sconce is really elegant and well priced. I love that the switch is positioned in a hidden but convenient spot, and the swing arm is smooth. The whole thing feels sturdy and looks great and lights up my reading corner. I will say that installing is sort of annoying, since you need the wall screws to be VERY close to the wall so the weight of the arm doesn’t shift the whole light. The included wall anchors are also pretty bad - I used my own. If you use the included ones you need a 3/16 drill bit for the anchors, wish the directions said that.. Sara. Mishawaka, IN. It's a sconce! No, it won't answer to the adorable pet name you give it or have witty replies to your inane requests (don't worry, you have job security) but it will fill your room with functional light and deliver it via a thoughtfully proportioned design. Sure, it might be just a way to cancel out small parcels of darkness, but maybe, just maybe it could be a friend too. Because doing stuff in the dark can be hard.

Skinny wall space that needs a little something and you just don't know what? This sconce is exemplary with its dark metal rods and correlated dark shade

Really pleased with these lights. I purchased two to hang on either side of my bed. Perfect amount of light for winding down before bedtime. I really liked that the metal body was longer than most plug in sconces so you don’t see the cord.
