This floor lamp is a show stopper. It provides intimate lighting to a very specified area, the gold gives the light an ambient warmth. The base is a solid heavy stone, you don’t have to worry about the lamp tipping over whatsoever. I would have to say, putting it together, I recommend 2 persons. The arm is a bit awkward when attempting to align each portion making it difficult to manage solo, don’t do like I did. Lastly, the dimmer doesn’t exactly dim, at all. I made sure to buy dimmable light bulbs and made sure to try it on other lamps that did dim. Not sure if mine is a defect, one that I’m fine with because the light it gives off is so incredibly soft that dimming the light seems unnecessary. However, it is marketed as a dimming floor lamp..
