While the arms themselves do not move, each lamp swivels to about 340 degrees so they can be pointed up or down or somewhere in the middle. Overall, a great lamp. Sleek, modern design that take up very little real estate - can be placed anywhere. Lamp shades look and feel a bit flimsy but overall a sturdy construction. The foot switch is pretty far from the base (can be good and bad) - if you need the switch closer to lamp, you would have to somehow hide a pile of cord (I just winded it up around the lamp base. Would be nice if it had space to tuck in extra cord). Fyi, each shade comes with a plastic cover. I almost threw them out thinking they were shipping covers. Very high quality lamp, solid metal, and it arrived properly wrapped with the metal finish protected. I will say it’s a bit tricky to put together as the long arms are a bit awkward to maneuver. Read the assembly instructions as there is a certain sequence you have to follow. Took about an hour to assemble and align the curved arms. It has a dimmer and can also change the color temperature of the LED lights from cold to warm. It is at the most warm setting in the picture. Very happy with this purchase.. Thomas.
