They’re almost exactly as advertised. The plates are described to have a matte finish but they really have a have a pearly shine finish. I am a bit disappointed this is not the look I was going for but I looked for so long, finally piled the trigger on these that I don’t feel like returning and finding others. The organic-shaped edges are very well done, not awkward at all to eat from. They seem durable. I just don’t like the pearlized finish. I recently purchased these plates and they are made of plastic. The plastic is decent quality — not super thin or flimsy, but not extremely durable either. They feel sturdy enough for regular use and hold food without bending too much. However, for the price, I expected slightly better quality. They’re not bad, just not amazing for what they cost.
