Organic forms and matte finishes mean this piece is perfect for daily use as well as a special get-together.
They’re almost exactly as advertised. The plates are described to have a matte finish but they really have a have a pearly shine finish. I am a bit disappointed this is not the look I was going for but I looked for so long, finally piled the trigger on these that I don’t feel like returning and finding others. The organic-shaped edges are very well done, not awkward at all to eat from. They seem durable. I just don’t like the pearlized finish. Some things don't need to be changed. Our rendition of the classic and timeless dinner plate. A beautiful ceramic shape with a large face and the slightest lip to create dimension. Diminutive dinnerware. With a slightly concave face and a subtle matte rim, this bread and butter plate is an ideal stage for apps, snacks, and “just a taste” of someone else’s meal. It's crafted from lead-free stoneware with a hand-finished glaze, and it’s durable enough for everyday dining.

I love love love these plates! Initially, I ordered just one in Sage and one in Pale Jade to see if the colors were what I was looking for.
