Looks just like the pics. One change I made is to not install the stick on covers over the recessed bolts. The wood color matched, but the wood grain did not. I don't mind seeing the exposed bolts. I love this bookcase! I am not using it as a bookcase as you can see in the photo. The wood is beautiful and very sturdy and heavy. The hardware shown in the picture is very sturdy as well…doesn’t feel like it’s going to snap easily or fall apart like other hardware.I like the fact that this piece is multi functional. I bought the oak table from Wayfair a few months ago. I ordered a walnut sideboard, which seemed to match the table in the pictures from Wayfair, but it did not. I couldn’t return it because it had been assembled but I have another place. It can go. This new sideboard is oak and it matches perfectly. I took these pictures on the day that I received the sideboard so no candles or vases or statues are on it yet. We searched online and in stores for a long time before landing on the Dakota bookcase, and I'm glad we took our time. We bought two. They're well-built and higher quality than I expected. The wood grain is unusual, but harmonious and not distracting. The legs give them a kind of finished appearance that's perfect in our 1960's apartment. They come assembled - you only have to add the feet - and with the "white glove" service, the guys delivered, set them up and took away all the packing in a jiffy. The only thing I would add is a leveling knob at the bottom of the legs. Our 1960s apartment doesn't have very level floors and it took some futzing with pads to get them even.. Anonymous. I recently discovered AllModern had a physical store near me. One of the items I was in love with online was the Leander console. It just oozes classy MCM vibes. The store actually did not have it on display the day I went, but seeing the quality, I felt confident in ordering the Leander. It was delivered a few days later and I couldn’t be more pleased. It is elegant and beautiful, but also solidly built. The drawers open smoothly, the doors align perfectly and there is nary a flaw. Everything I purchased from AllModern seems to have come triple wrapped, and it surprised me that a company would take that much care in the shipping of their products. Which is rather sad, but also speaks to AllModern’s customer-focused approach. The delivery guys were great and set it up for us with the free white glove service. So happy with my purchase!. ALMODERN made it possible for me to salvage good parts from the two damaged units so I could fabricate ONE almost perfect unit. THE PROBLEM occurred at the manufacturer's end.
