Like other reviewers have noted, this vanity desk does sit a little high. One upside is you can easily cross your legs beneath it without bumping your knee. The black velvet lined drawers with their soft close add to a luxe feel. They are too shallow to hold a blow dryer but my make-up and jewelry fit fine. The colour in real life is slightly darker/muddier. It's not a bright ash. Item arrived well packaged in two boxes. Assembly was easy enough, and the drawers are already assembled so it didn't take very long. Be very careful during assembly that you don't drag the edges and chip the veneer by accident. Once assembled, there is no exposed area to risk this, though. There was a slight smell to the product resembling spray paint that gassed off within a weak. Definitely NOT “acorn” colored. This is a dark cherry or mahogany red stained piece of furniture. I am extremely disappointed in how it looked in the photos and how NOT light brown it is. I think the manufacturer either sent me the wrong color or they significantly changed the stain without communicating it to All Modern. That being said, it is great quality, solid, and easy to put together. I won’t be returning because of the cost of the rerun since there was no damage due to shipping. Carefully delivered, well packed. When you open the box you will be happy to have purchased it. It is better than expected, (based on review and gut instinct). Colors are true. I love it! The only setback was the installation. My husband had to cut a hole in the drawer to fit the pipes. Not every home is the same, and this needed to be done. The drawers are beautiful. Well made. Wish they had a full-length box, but the pipes would not fit. We are using this vanity for the 1/2 guest bath. Toilet paper fits, and rolled towels. That's it. Not a fan of the chrome overflow due to it clashing with my brass faucets, I'd rather have that on the front of the sink like most. Beautiful and solid vanity with a great mid century modern vibe! Love the hardware. Drawers are okay, my installer had to cut the back of bottom drawers to fit around plumbing and they’re not tall at all. (I figured that would be the case). Main concern is the quality of the quartz. Upon installation I noticed water spots that I’m unable to clean off.
