The black velvet lined drawers with their soft close add to a luxe feel. They are too shallow to hold a blow dryer but my make-up and jewelry fit fine. The colour in real life is slightly darker/muddier. It's not a bright ash. Item arrived well packaged in two boxes. Assembly was easy enough, and the drawers are already assembled so it didn't take very long. Be very careful during assembly that you don't drag the edges and chip the veneer by accident. Once assembled, there is no exposed area to risk this, though. There was a slight smell to the product resembling spray paint that gassed off within a weak.
