I ordered the Polished Nickel hooks. The finish on them is more like pewter...they are not very polished, and the metal appears to be pitted. I ordered them and will keep them, because, currently, there are NO polished Nickel shower curtain hooks on the market ANYWHERE - this is as close as I can get. But they still are not what I was expecting. The construction is ok - they open and close like binder rings - so time will tell if they are durable enough to stay put in a very active kids' bath.
