This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I'm not giving it 5 stars because a bit of the veneer was sanded too thin in one spot, and it is not as vibrant as in the pictures. It has a gray, ash wood-like tint. I was hoping it would be a little more birch-like. But this a solid piece of furniture, and lots of room inside. I completely love this sideboard. If you’re on the fence about it, BUY IT! Arrived early and the delivery men were so accommodating and communicative. There’s a small crack on the BACK of the sideboard but I’m not worried about it being that it will face the wall. This piece is gorgeous. Looks very similar to the picture. Color tones look like the picture. My particular piece didn’t lave a lower light stripe, but each wood piece is different. The hinges for the doors are adequate, they aren’t soft close, which would have been nice. The upper shelves are about an inch less in depth (in the front) than the bottom. The Dalston sideboard is a must for every modern house. The circular black top is finished elegantly in a contemporary and industrial matte black finish. To contrast the texture of the frame, the modestly curved cabinet is covered in a cream cloth. It will look stunning in any modern or industrial-style household with its chic silhouette and classic use of materials.
Pros: This is an elegant and sophisticated piece of furniture. It instantly elevates any space it occupies. The materials are solid and striking. It always gets compliments! Cons: Assembly was a bit difficult due to insufficient instructions. The manufacturer needs to add written instructions to coincide with the images. This sideboard’s minimalist lines are enlivened by textural and material contrasts. Three slatted doors screen the shelves from view, and magnetic catches hold them securely shut. Raised edges keep dishes and decor in place on the white marble tabletop, and slender sled legs add visual white space.
Good quality and very sturdy. Definitely needs 2 people to assemble and move around as it's very heavy. It's everything I expected it to be. Keep in mind once you start storing things inside you can see everything through the open slats. I'll be getting some black storage baskets to hide some of the things I'm storing in mine.. Barry.
