I love look of this sideboard. It’s sturdy, and the style is what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, the quality is not worth the price. The assembly instructions are straightforward, but there were a few issues. One of the metal panels for the backing came bent inward in the corner, so it didn’t sit flat against the base. I was able to hammer this out. Some of the “B” screws don’t fit into the pre-drilled holes they are supposed to a regular screw driver wasn’t powerful enough, so I needed a power drill. Even then, the placements of these “B” screws are in tight corners that a power drill or screw driver couldn’t get into, so I left many of them half way screwed in and not flush. Fortunately, these are not in visible places, but I do worry about how it will hold up. The black coating is pretty thin, and it easily scrapes and the paint ships off to reveal the metal beneath. Not ideal if you have kids or accidentally scrape the parts together when assembling. Lastly, the magnets that hold the doors closed are not very strong. If you open one door, another door easily pops open. I am going to keep this because it’s heavy, with lots of parts, and it would be inconvenient to disassemble, package up, and ship back for a return. It serves the basic need I purchased it for. However, this is an incredibly costly piece of furniture for the quality.
