Material and colour of the bedframe were fantastic. Love the wingback detail for a cozy feel. The bed arrived a bit ahead of schedule but well worth the wait (4 weeks). The spacing between where the boxspring rests and where the bottom of the headboard begins is about 20". Keep this in mind for overall use and nightstands as it leaves the overall height of the bed quite high off the floor. We didn't want there to be a gap at the back even though it could be hidden with pillows. It would allow things to slide back or fall behind the bed. (Something to consider if you are purchasing a thinner than normal mattress such as Casper or other boxed mattress companies). The back of the headboard is also not sealed with fabric...it is exposed to attached the headboard to the frame and the wings. It is up against a wall so it doesn't matter but if you are looking to float the bed in a room where the back would be seen I would not recommend this bed. (NOTE: There were 5 instruction manuals included in the delivery. They were similar and yet all somewhat different. Despite the steps...if you purchase this bed attached the wings to the headboard first. Make your frame and attach the siding. Than bring the two portions together for assembly. Attractive bed with a rare aesthetic at a reasonable price. Fabric samples were consistent with final product. HOWEVER: as other reviews have pointed out, the build quality / parts are especially horrific, even for modern day dropship furniture. I read these other reviews and figured other reviewers were just being overly picky. So, allow me to expand so you can make the right call for yourself: an included a screw that wasn't threaded, just a chunk of metal, so you'll need a collection of large gauge screws on hand; one of the running rails that the cross-bars attach to did not have attachment holes, so I drilled out the steel, you'll need cobalt drill bits; the holes in the headboard were not level, so I shimmed the metal corner piece to accomodate, you'll need spare wood/shims; the list goes on. Bottom line is if you're capable/able to build a bed from a collection of semi-raw materials, you'll get the look you're going for.
