The table legs are attached to the top with black plates and large screws that are quite visible when looking at the table while seated on a sofa. The hardware has been retouched out of the website's photo, so this detail isn't evident pre-purchase. Had I seen a realistic photo showing the hardware, I wouldn't have purchased this table. The wood isn't as golden as I imagined it might be, it's cooler and whiter, and has an open pore quality that seems like it might not hold up well to food and drink. Not a great experience. We had white glove delivery. The first delivery that was schedule they ended up bringing the wrong table. After another week+ of waiting the right table came. The people that assembled the table ended up putting two screws and popped out the wood. There were a few minor scratches as well. I wish I just set up the table myself or that would not of happened. The table is beautiful. It took me a couple of hours to get used to it, as our previous table was dark brown and more uniform color. I love the color of this table, but beware that the wood knots show more due to light color. I suppose they give it additional charm, though I expected to have less knots visible. The legs of the table are very unique and stylish. Our chairs tuck in just nicely on the sides, but they don't tuck in all the way at the head of the table as the legs of chairs bump into the legs of table. It doesn't bother us, but we probably won't keep the chairs at the head sides of table all the time. Also, when you sit on the head of the table, the space for legs is limited. If you push yourself in all the way, you won't be able to spread your legs, but this is not a big deal if you don't sit there often. I was concerned that the table would stain easily, but I tested it immediately upon delivery. The fluid beads up on top of it, so there is definitely a good protective coating on it.
