Amazing and beautiful bed. Quality and the wood is amazing. It is well constructed. As far as I know this product is identical to Modloft Worth Bed, but comes at a more affordable price point on AllModern. Set up was not difficult at all, but people love to complain about it. If you don't have experience with fasteners, tools and following assembly instructions, then you should probably hire someone else to do it for you instead of attempting it, failing, then claiming it's "too complicated.". We purchased the Cal King and a beautiful and solid wood piece that was easy to put together. We added a 9” box spring and have a 10” purple mattress on top; this gave a good height and I would recommend no lower then 18-20” because then you would see the non decorative slat on the headboard. The only issue, and this was in a previous review is that with the Cal King there is a few inches extra length. You don’t notice when the bed is made up but in order to keep your pillows from sliding off the bed we pushed the decorative pillows down between the mattress and headboard. I liked the piece enough to make the concession and maybe in the future we would build a 2x2 frame and add fabric to make an end piece to fit in here. If you push the mattress and box spring up to the head of the bed then you get the extra inches at the foot which is very obvious. The bed is absolutely beautiful and the assembly was easy enough. Unfortunately, when the boxes arrived, the bag containing all the hardware (screws, nuts, bolts, etc,) was not sealed and the pieces were loose in the box. Luckily we did not see any damage to the wood due to hardware scratching it in transit. However, when the box was opened the hardware piece's rolled out everywhere. I'm not one for ordering furniture online. In fact, this is the first time I've done it. But I liked the style & scale so much I took a chance. To my surprise, it looks just as pictured on the website and the upholstery used on the headboard is much nicer than I expected it would be (and I'm a very particular person). The way it's assembled is similar to high-end furniture and makes it very solid & sturdy. The description online says "solid + manufactured wood". I have yet to find any "solid" wood except maybe for the slats. It's really all manufactured wood but I will say it's a very nicely done finish. Real wood these days in furniture is difficult to come by unless you have an unlimited budget so if you like this style and can are not opposed to manufactured wood I would highly recommend this bed..
