Omena Solid Wood Bed

The bed frame could be great but it’s very heavy so it’ll probably get dropped and you’ll receive it broken like I did. Then you’ll be told you can’t get a replacement because it’s somehow “out of stock” even though Wayfair says there are 2 left in stock if you happen to look at the same item.

I had a really hard time deciding how many stars to give this. I was so hesitant to purchase it given the mixed reviews it currently has for the price but took the plunge while it was on sale. Overall, I am so happy with how the bed looks and don't regret purchasing it. With that in mind, there are some (solvable) issues you should be aware of before purchasing this item. The instructions for starters are pretty bad with disproportionate visuals of the screws. When it comes to the slats, They are supposed to screw in at the headboard and footboard, however, the screw holes do not line up (we rotated then every which way and there was no solution) which for the price, is a MASSIVE manufacturing issue. Even if they did line up though, the stretchy bands connected to the slats are so tight, that I don't think they would stretch top to bottom even if the holes did align. We did find a way around it (seen in picture two) where we used the build-in blocks as "hooks" I guess? and then ended up fastening a handful of the slats together (not pictured) to extra security. Overall with the issues discussed, is this bed worth the price? Not at all...the manufacturing of this bed should be flawless at this price. But do I regret my purchase? Also no, we found ways around the issues and the end result is exactly what I dreamed it would be.

Cannot recommend. It’s a beautiful bed but the slats are too small and routinely fall off the bed. I’ve never seen anything like it. This was extremely embarrassing while hosting.
