This table for my dining nook arrived very well packaged! The top piece came in wood box with styrofoam, bottom piece in sturdy box. I would recommend paying for assembly because the item is extremely heavy. The base and the top are concrete. The spec sheet says the base is metal but it is not. Top and bottom are concrete and match each other perfectly. It is a good statement piece but without being showy. Even though it is chunky it has refined lines and is well made.
