The sideboard was packaged very well and notwithstanding a few dented corners, the furniture arrived undamaged. I mentioned this because very often ordering furniture online, we’ve been disappointed to find that it was damaged in shipping. This piece is made of real wood, uses high quality fasteners and feels solid when built. Getting the doors to line up took a while but we got it to where it’s acceptable. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I'm not giving it 5 stars because a bit of the veneer was sanded too thin in one spot, and it is not as vibrant as in the pictures. It has a gray, ash wood-like tint. I was hoping it would be a little more birch-like. But this a solid piece of furniture, and lots of room inside. I do like this sideboard, my husband likes it too but not as much as I do. It has a lot of room. It's solid and sturdy. The only thing I have to change about it is to put fabric or some kind of backing behind the mesh doors. I love the mesh but I don't want to see all my stuff in there. If I had neat, organized things to somewhat display the mesh would work but I am storing china, glasses, placemats, chargers, etc. and I want a minimal, clean look.
