Norberg Writing Desk

This desk is gorgeous! The wood a little darker than I expected but this works in our favor so we were happy. It's very sturdy and easy to assemble. The box it is shipped in is HUGE and very heavy so make sure that you have help with delivery if needed. We paired it with a velvet dining chair purchased from Wayfair!

Surprised that the desk was so substantial-feels and looks like a real quality piece. The back rail didn’t fit-the screw holes are in the wrong place-but it’s not needed anyway! We just didn’t install the rail and the desk is very stable and sturdy. And I’m not risking banging my knees on it. Winner!

I love the look and style of this desk as well as the tone of the wood. However, the smaller drawers on the sides are both flawed. The left one only pulls out about halfway of what it should and the front face is slightly angled so that the drawer is not flush with the frame when closed. The right one pushes in too far so it is also not flush with the front of the desk the way it should be. For the price I paid ($400+) I feel it should be much better quality. I did not even attempt to return as I read stories about having to repackage, which would of course be impossible. It looks nice enough but these little things are frustrating, especially the left drawer that does not pull out completely. Makes it much less useful for storage.

This desk is amazing. Great quality and worth the price. Legs were easy to assemble. Perfect piece for anyone looking for a mid century modern desk.
