This is a solid well made piece of furniture. The color “chestnut” is much darker and red than displayed in photos. It is more of a cherry wood finish. I communicated my experience with the folks at Modern and the manufacturer.

There are a couple scratches and the finish was bumpy. It seems like there was dust when they stained the console. If this was a lower priced piece of furniture, I might accept this but at $1000 I expect more.

We were so excited for this to arrive since it looked beautiful online, but delivery was a total disaster. After multiple missed deliveries requiring us to wait at home for hours with no communication, and multiple phone calls to customer service, the product finally arrived and is severely damaged. Every surface has scrapes and defects. Will not order from allmodern again.
