About the Designer
Nuno Henriques Portugal (1984 - )
Nuno Henriques (born January 19, 1984), is a Portuguese industrial designer based in O'Porto, Portugal. During high school he took Sciences and Chemistry classes, and only on the final year he decided to pursuit a career in design. He graduated in industrial design in September 2007, and in that same year he received invitations to join some of the world's most respected design offices. During college he had the opportunity to join Álvaro Leite Siza Vieira as a part-time designer and he worked extensively designing furniture as a freelance. Nuno's works were featured on several design exhibitions in Portugal, Japan, South Korea and England. Nuno Henriques opened his first office - White Show Design - in December 2008. Later, in February 2010, he re-branded as Nuno Henriques Design Office. Nowadays Nuno is working with almost every major design editor in Portugal, developing products ranging from ceramics, to furniture and lighting. The first products will be officially presented in December 2010. Nuno lives and works in O'Porto.
