The Strip Collection is a family of wall, ceiling and suspension lamps reduced in thickness for linear fluorescent tubes. Designed according to modularity standards, they are able to create sequences and juxtapositionings according to geometries “in equilibrium”. This thickness reduced to the minimum makes Strip particularly suitable for places requiring unobtrusive lighting that adheres as closely as possible to ceilings and walls, for example in corridors and staircases.

DESIGNERS DANTE DONEGANI

Dante Donegani Born in Pinzolo, Italy in 1957, he graduated in Architecture in Florence in 1983.

Since 1993 he has been Director of the Industrial Design Master at Domus Academy. He worked with Andrea Branzi and later on as a consultant for Olivetti Corporate Identity and was responsible for fairs and interior design.

In 1991 he opened his own office. He realized several exhibitions, design and commercial settings such as: "Michelangelo Architetto", "Artemisia Gentileschi" at Casa Buonarroti in Florence; "Mondrian e De Stijl" at Fondazioni Cini in Venice, "Piero della Francesca" at San Sepolcro, and display systems for Nolan Helmets, Fissler kicthen ware and Sant Pauls International bookstore.

He designed furniture and objects for many manufacturers, including Memphis, Stildomus, Produzione Cavari, Mass, Steel, Radice, Isuzu, Edra and Luceplan.

He also designed interiors for several private houses and shops. He participated in architecture competitions such as the restructuring of the historical center Castel di Sangro (Aquila) with Andrea Branzi (1st prize); "Berlin Wall", with Andrea Branzi (1st prize); and "A Square with a Monument", Keihanna Interaction Plaza, Japan (2nd prize).

The beauty of efficiency. In the years leading up to the foundation of Luceplan, Riccardo Sarfatti consolidated his instinctive entrepreneurial flair while working first with his father at Arteluce, the historic firm founded by Gino Sarfatter at the end of World War II, and later with Flos, the prestigious Brescia-based company that took over arteluce in the early 1970s.

In 1978 Paolo Rizzato, Riccardo Sarfatti and Sandra Severi, who had been together at the Politecnico University in Milan, founded Luceplan, concentrating initially on the design and making of prestige interior lighting. Luceplan specialized in projects for particularly challenging and high quality situations and locations, including numerous historic buildings.

Luceplan continued to forge ahead by insisting on a clear idea of a business in which design is not "styling", that is to say not "added design", but rather the outcome of a continuous and coordinated exchange of different company functions. In the projects which Luceplan puts into production, there is a constant search for artistic simplicity as the solution to complexity.
