Looks great but poor construction

The lamp itself looks great, however the top of the lamp was constructed in such a way that when the lamp shade is screwed down onto the base, the shade appears tilted. The lampshade base was not attached to the legs at a 90 degree angle. Ive had to shim one side of the lampshade so that it appears straight.
