Rather than having sleek/thinner metal tubes, they are too thick and bulky. The hinges, rather than having a mesh of high-tech material, it's cloth! Yes cloth! It feels like t-shirt material and looks like a black tube sock! Once insects or the sun get to them, good bye lamp! Lastly, putting all this together, then, the pictures look good, but in person it looks dated. Don't buy this lamp. There are many other great looking lamps with better form and function -- Holtkotter Leuchten? Was this helpful? Yes / No
