George Kovacs Brushed Nickel Floor Lamp with White Linen Shade

Love the lamp a lot. However, the shade is more cream. Design is transitional and fits my modern decor well.. Love the convenient floor switch.

[...]Part was missing but ease of contact via email and attentive staff made it easy to resolve. These lamps are just what we needed in our modern living room and they give off a relaxing glow. Nice finish and very sturdy.Floor lamp does not have a dimmer switch which would have been nice.

The lamp is nice looking ,although the construction quality, especially the base, was not what I would have expected for the price. The lamp was advertised as having a foot dimmer switch, which was important for making my decision. Instead it has a foot on-off switch-- this is very disappointing and I likely would not have chosen this lamp if I had known it was only on or off.

I bought 2, great compliment to my contemporary decor

This is an attractive well designed lamp. The dimmer feature is especially nice. However, it took myself and my husband who is an electrical engineer three hours to assemble. This is because the internal wiring is not properly sized to enable easy assembly and because assembly requires some extremely small screws that are difficult to adjust. In addition, the screws we received appeared to be stripped. The only reason we were able to assemble this at all is because my husband, as an electrical engineer,was able to work around the problems. After this experience we will not be ordering lamps on line again. The higher cost to get an assembled lamp at a shop more than compensates for the time and frustration we experienced with this lamp.
