Exceeded my expectations. I have newer outdoor fixtures, but they have clear glass. This simple affordable solution converted my outdoor light fixtures to dark sky compliance. My fixtures actually look good with this shielded bulb and the down lighting glow is soft and pleasing for us, our neighbors and the night sky. I highly recommend this bulb to anyone who wants to go dark sky compliant, without the expense of replacing their outdoor light fixtures.
