You kind of have to figure it out when you open the box, but once you get the hang of it, you'll love it and wonder if you should've ordered more than one

Blomus knows bar accessories. They've proven this to me time and time again with their sleek, elegant solutions to the little things that make drinking the greatest pastime ever conceived. Wine is a gentleman's drink, and Blomus makes wine and bar products for gentlemen who like to keep things classy. I've been burned too many times by wine stoppers that either didn't seal the bottle properly, or simply broke after the first few uses. But Blomus did it right. Before I bought this gem, drinking wine meant finishing the whole bottle before bed, making Saturday morning errands somewhat brutal. When we're talking about a bottle of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, letting an open bottle lose its taste overnight is not just a waste of good wine--it's profligate. The expanding bottle stop keeps good wine good and keeps classy gentlemen who drink wine just that, classy.

We have used these wine stoppers for three years and are really happy with how they work to re-seal a bottle of wine that has been opened and not finished.

I am giving this review in terms of aesthetics for this item as I have not had a chance to use it. I normally buy sparkling wine but I have not since I got it, so I cannot say if it works or not. I am still giving it a 5 star for its clean look and its make up. It feels heavy duty and well made. When I get a chance to see how it works in sealing a sparkling wine bottle I will give another review.

seals bottle well, stylish and simple design

A great stopper. It fits as pictured on some bottles, on others with a shorter, wider, neck, like a beer or soda bottle, you can just raise it higher in the bottle neck with your holding hand, and twist until tightened. Excellent seal even when crooked. You will want more than one.....

Although this is recommended for champagne bottles, I bought it in hopes that it would hold in the fizz on soda pop bottles. It did not work so well in that situation. With a little care I was able to make it work on a bottle of Izze's pop. But it is clumsy because you have to hold the device so that the stopper is near the narrow top of the bottle. But this is a use beyond what is advertised, so I did not lower my rating for that. I rated it high because it is attractive and solid. I am only writing this review to warn others that we have to keep looking for something that works well on soda pop bottles. If this had a collar that allowed for adjusting the depth, then this would be even more versatile.

Buy this. Do not buy a traditional bottle stopper. This is truly amazing. I was unsure of if/how this would function well when I purchased it, but after using it, I was amazed. All you do is insert and twist the handle, it is that simple! It fits so securely I was able to carry the bottle by the stopper with confidence.
