Maybe my best purchase of 2025! I've always been against an electric corkscrew, in a principled sort of way. I'd never seen one function correctly in person and I've always thought a double-hinged traditional corkscrew works better and more consistently than any of the other designs I've tried over the years.
Little did I know, that opinion was predicated on having two working hands--who knew! After sustaining nerve damage in my right arm, I quickly learned the life of a wine lover could be extremely painful with only one good arm, so I did the thing I had prided myself on avoiding and ordered this electric corkscrew.
I am a changed woman! What was I thinking, wasting muscle power on such a simple task? This gets frequent use and hasn't failed so far. The preserver was a cool bonus--just turn it over, press it down on the (provided) cork and watch it vacuum seal your bottle to enjoy later--another job I was completing manually, squandering valuable time and energy.
So whether you are down one arm in some capacity like me, or just tired of the workout before getting that first delicous taste of wine, don't hesitate in buying this!
