About the Designer
Guido Venturini Italy (1957 - )
Architect, designer, and explorer of the world of industrial design, Guido Venturini has become a recognizable figure in the world of design. His clever and accurate use of space management and internal architecture led him to the design of the famous Maddalena Loveburger project in Prato in cooperation with Stefano Giovannoni. His fresh, youthful ideas have played a large role in newer Alessi design concepts in the Family Follows Fiction series. Here, Venturini has created the Gino Zucchino Sugar Castor and it has become so popular it has turned into a kind of garden gnome.
Initially specializing in handmade metal crafted tableware, Alessi tableware combines sophisticated artistic tastefulness with everyday functionality to give standard household objects a little touch of magic.
