Tom Strala, is a product of the Zürich ETH (where incidently, Albert Einstein failed to gain admission). A successful young designer, in 2002, not yet thirty, Strala opened his own art gallery. His table was in part inspired by the architecture of the tree, and like a tree, the table is not supported by parallel elements, but by branches met at non-typical angles.
